Why did you choose this career/study program?

¡Hello everybody! I hope they’re okay c:

Before I chose my current career, in my childhood I thought many times about the profession I wanted to have in the future, many of these options have nothing in common with what I finally chose. When I was six, the first choice that came to mind was that I wanted to be a veterinarian because I loved animals, especially puppies. But after quite a while I realized, I didn’t really like that area, unlike how I loved the area of social sciences and history.

By the time I was applying for college, I had three possible options: Anthropology, Sociology and Social Work. Finally, I chose Social Work, mainly because I liked the way in which I would exercise the contents that I was learning, to be able to intervene in the reality of the people who need it. Currently my experience in the university has been quite positive, I like very much the contents that have taught me and the people that I have met are very nice. In the near future, I would like to be a contribution to all those who are disadvantaged, but I especially want to be able to help all the children who are in the National Service for Minors.

Post 1: My autobiography - Who am I?

 

Hi,  my name is Francisca Espinoza and  I was born on May 12, 2002, in the city of Santiago, I am currently nineteen years old. I have lived most of my life, in a place that is a little far from the capital, in a very quiet rural village called El Monte. I live with my mom, my grandmother, my brother, my sister and a beautiful German shepherd dog, her name is Lola.

The school where I studied the elementary, is called Divine Providence, I was there for five years. Sometime later I transferred to the Alcántara school, which was in a nearby town called Talagante. I attended that school all through high school until I graduated, I have very good memories of that place. Currently, I am studying since this year, at the University of Chile.

My hobbies and the things I like to do are listening to music (especially K-pop) and listening to some podcasts of my interest, eating sweets, watching series on Netflix and riding bikes to the hill on weekends.
